XCEL Manure Spreader
|
|
The Hi-Spec XCEL 1250 spreader has being extensively tested on Irish farms over the
last three years. The main advantage over other spreaders in the market is its ability
to handle foreign objects in the manure (e.g. stones, cement blocks, fencing stakes etc.)
without any damage to the machine.
The spreading width of the machine is in excess of 18 metres with most materials. The
XCEL spreader has a capacity of 12 tons and requires a tractor with 100HP upwards. A 12 ton
load can be spread in approximately 3-5 minutes.
The manure is shredded by 24 flails made from hard wearing HARDOX steel and are held
on with one bolt each. The 24 flails guarantee a high throughput with optimum spreading of
the manure. The flails are attached to the rotor shaft with marine chain which has a breaking
capacity of 40 tons. The spreading is done by four shear bolt protected vanes mounted on two
rotors which are placed underneath the flails.

With the XCEL's unique spreading system it can discharge manure evenly across the full working width. The large tyres which come as standard practically eliminate any compaction and rutting of the surface.

The spreader rotors are protected by shear bolts which
eliminates damage from stones etc. |

The chain and slat floor has four chains with an overall breaking
capacity of 80 tons and is driven by a hydraulic motor with a
flow control valve to adjust floor speed. |
The XCEL is constructed of the following materials: - chassis 10mm plate, floor 5mm plate, body sides 4mm plate. The drive shafts are 50mm and 60mm in diameter. Heavy duty gearboxes with a capacity of 200HP are used in the machine.
The following equipment come as standard with the XCEL manure spreader:
- Large tyre size (580/70R38's)
- Automatic tension of the floor chains (this gives the chains a much longer life and reduces maintenance).
- Slurry door (the slurry door is operated by a master and slave cylinder system that guarantees the door stays level at all times).
- Slurry door height indicator.
- Automatic tensioning and automatic chain oiling on the spreading rotor drive.
- An override switch in the tractor cab for the chain and slat floor flow control valve.
- Hydraulic brakes and break away type handbrake.
- Tail lights and traffic indicators come with covers to protect them when spreading.
- Wide angle PTO shaft.
